IC: Matt was quickly shown to to the hexwave generator - an older model, the size of a large early-21st-century coffee maker, and was old enough to have an external power source. it was in mild disrepair but still functioning. in a matter of moments he had punched in her information and had established a service link. he managed to find the necessary protocol to hook himself to the generator, and completed the telepathic link.
