IC:

Even though Seth had waited for a few minutes now, after exploding his own cybernetic hand to 'escape', no guards came to subdue him. 'Did they seriously just leave? Bad security.' he thought. 'Did I break something important that caused them to evacuate?' he also thought. Most likely, he was probably wrong. They just didn't care-what could people in cells do? Then there was the problem of him having a non-functional right arm. The only way to fix it, he assumed, was the machine labelled 'The Enhancer'. It appeared to have been used to convert people into mindless 91% cyborg drones, intent on serving whoever was the master here. Entering it was going to be too risky. It would appear that the only way for Seth to regain a functioning right arm was to sever it and throw it in. But that would be painful for its short duration. Yet he had to take the chance. Shrapnel from the exploded cell would be a nice substitute. An arm for a cybernetic arm. Maybe this new one would have better functionality. Then his arm fell off.

Trying not to think about the pain in the parts that felt pain, he threw his former arm into 'the enhancer'. It went surprisingly fast, and his new cybernetic arm flew out towards him, almost literally. He then attached it to his own body, stopping his pain.

And then whatever building he was inside of started shaking, as if on cue.
