Virunk nodded. He had an uneasy feeling, especially about those hippies from earlier.
Why does this all seem too easy, almost? Virunk thought, making sure to keep himself alert, and ready to draw his sword if it was needed.

"We should go." Virunk said with a frown, walking into the shadows, and moving quickly further into the alleyway, hoping it wasn't a dead-end.

Virunk's eyebrow twitched in annoyance, and he then looked back and began to walk toward the exit of the alleyway.
"For what? Being in an alleyway?" Virunk asked, raising a skeptical eyebrow; they would find no weapons aside from his sword. And obviously that didn't kill the guy.

A figure - cyborg or robot? Hard to tell - stepped into the light of a streetlight. "No, as an Accessory to Murder. "Anything you say or do can and will be used against you in a court of law" Virnuk noticed that he did not say they had the right to remain silent. "At oh-two-forty-seven hours Mr. Teezel Quieth received a fatal wound to the brain. Sensors show that three figures were in the immediate vicinity and have not left."

"We were questioning the suspect, attempting to find out what happened." Virunk stated coldly, not taking too kindly to this robotic cop. His hand twitched in anger, and Matt would do well to appear and stop Virunk from doing something rather stupid.

OOC: flying cars are not common. only rich people and government have them, but they're plenty real.

Inside a near-inaccessible room at Euron Industries' Headquarters...

"Are you sure? Have you not gone insane? Mr Euron should know about this..."

"Do it. Render their feeble little minds useless. Let them become no more than mindless drones, ever working for my superior cause. And in case you didn't know... I am Charles Euron now, not that weak-minded man this body used to belong to." said the third body of Charles Euron.

"This isn't right..."

"Tell me this: why should the world be constantly inhabited by weak-minded fools without any ambition, with the inability to stay united? About 6% of the world has an implant from Euron Industries... more than some of our rivals, who, soon, won't exist. We make 'superior' implants... Make this with Euron Industries' implants 'superior', and you can be yourself a little longer. Even have the dead ones with implants created by us rise up... cover it up as the ever-theorised zombie apocalypse."

"Right... sir... you're crazy."

"I. Am. Not. Crazy. You just don't see the world the way I do. One day, that may change, and I'm forcing that day to be today. See the grandeur of my plan today, so go ahead... and do it. NOW." Charles stammered, frustrated with this employee, but so far, this employee had been loyal to him.

"Then I will."

Mere seconds later, several hundred million people on the Earth just... stopped. For no reason, at not least for any reason any government, media, or ordinary person could see. But what was happening was the invasion and suppression of more an a hundred million minds, with the bodies reduced to nothing more than a host for a drone-like program that answered to Euron Industries' every order. Accompanied by this was the rising of several somewhat decayed corpses, which had implants in them, but no mind to suppress. It was soon discovered by a few unfortunate investigators that all these of now drone-like bodies were also programmed to destroy all organic life.

People seconds after the takeover was done. Did a zombie apocalypse begin? They didn't know. How many people had been lost? 579,564... and rising. Stronger minds may be resisting it, but if they let their guard down for even a millisecond... they are no longer a person.

And so... the world was forever changed.
