OOC: Sensors don't matter. The Force is literally picking up the torpedo and dragging it to the new destination, and no engines can overpower that.
You're ignoring the expanded universe, as well as the fact that Vader's ship was spinning wildly out of control when Luke fired the torpedo.
In the Force Unleashed, Starkiller has little trouble pulling an Imperial Star Destroyer out of the sky and crashing it into the ground with the Force.
Darth Nihilus was powerful enough to wipe out the population of an entire planet with a single word.
Karness Murr could mutate any living creature into a mindless Rakghoul.
Abeloth could drive anyone insane, killed the Grand Lord of the Sith without any effort at all, and was unkillable. It took the combined efforts of Luke Skywalker and Darth Krayt just to temporarily subdue her.
