The television turned on with a loud burst of static. On the screen was a CGI anime girl.
"Hi hi hi! Welcome to the Rosewater Institute Special Educational Network, or RISEN for short! I'm Rosie, the Rosewater Operational Software for Integrated Education, and I am Super Thrilled to meet all of you! In just a few moments, those two pretty doors will open up, and we can start the game! Yay! But before we choose the teams, does anyone have any questions? No need to be shy!"

Tomas scowled and shook his head, but went through the right door with Amy and Nalle.

"Allllllriiiiight! Now it's time for the real rules!"

"FIRST! There are three rooms per challenge, followed by a rest area. Your goal is to reach the rest area.
SECOND! Each room contains puzzles! If you make any mistakes, or if you take too long, you get a nasty electric shock!
THIRD! If you get shocked six times per challenge, YOU ALL DIE! Yay!
FOURTH! You can SKIP A ROOM! To to that, aaalllll you need to do is push the BIG! RED! BUTTON! But be caaaarrreeeeful! If you push it, everyone in the other room will get a nasty zap!
FIFTH! The people in the other room can zap you too! Whee!
SIXTH! The first team to clear a challenge gets a SPECIAL PRIZE!
SEVENTH! At the end of a challenge, you get to vote for one person to get to skip the next challenge! Hope you're popular!

Tomas frowned, and began to examine the room.

[The Truth]

The floor was covered with tiles. Each tile had either a letter or a number on it. (A-Z, 0-9).

On one was  was a framed blank sheet of paper. The frame had a keyhole on it.

On another wall was a scroll, which read as follows:
