"Hm...I feel we're still missing something important. I suppose it will all become clear in time, though."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Let us now resume the trial. Prosecutor Law, have you brought the witness?"
Izabel nodded. "Yes, your honor. The Prosecution would like to-GAH!"
She jumped back. "What the bloody-What is THAT!?"
"That's the real Blue Badger, pal! Mascot of the police department! I figured it would help us to get justice!"
Izabel groaned. "Take it outside, detective. Take it outside, and burn it. Consecrate the ashes and bury them far from here."
"Ugh...yes sir..."
Gumshoe sadly took the badger and walked out of the court.
Izabel sighed. She was clearly off balance. "Right...anyway...the Prosecution, um, calls the witness to the stand..."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The witness was an energetic young woman, wearing a stereotypical cowgirl costume.
Izabel nodded. "Now then. Please state your name and profession for the court."
"My name's Vera Yeager, an' I fight fer th' common folk!" She grinned.
Izabel sighed again. "It says here you work as the Pink Badger?"
"Wot? A girl's gotta eat, yea? Sumptin' wrong wi' that?"
"...Your testimony, please."
