Derek turned and led the way inside. The interior of the mansion was even better then the outside. Not a speck of dust anywhere. After going up a spiral staircase to the fifth floor, “My personal living floor” Derek explained, they went down a hall and turned into a room. Inside was a chair, desk, several large electronic appliances and a window. The view looked out back where there was a swimming pool, a bit of grass and then woods. The computer was on, so Derek simply touched the mouse and it was ready to go. He searched around through some well-organized files and found the program. “Here it is, Kyle. Now, what do you want to do?” “You got a scanner anywhere?” “Of course. Right here,” Derek pointed to one of the other appliances. Kyle scanned the picture of the skeleton with flesh, and put the picture into the program. Then, he searched on wikipedia until he found a picture he liked. He plugged it into the program. “Oh, I get it!” Mac said, “you’re trying to find a similarity. But why?” “Just a theory I have,” Kyle explained, reading the results and looking up another prehistoric human. “When we know about what kind of human this used to be, we can visit that part of the world. Then we’ll see what’s going on.” “Sounds alright,” Derek said, “but how do you know that thing used to be human? Can’t it just be a robot?” “Yes, I suppose so, but results from my department say it was a real human being about fifteen thousand years ago. We can prove whether that is true or false when we get to Russia.”
-Wednesday, March 30, 2011- “Skeletons?” the manager of the museum said, “Yes, we have a few.” “No, I mean are there many outside,” Dash said in broken Russian. “No, for some odd reason they seem to be disappearing.” To be continue...
