I suppose this forum needs rules, so here are a few in detail, expanded from the forum-wide MLNO Rules.

Regarding topics made in General Discussion

Rank Advancement Topics-
You don't need these. If you or someone you know went up a rank, post in the Rank Advancement Dates topic, in the MLN Rank Discussion forum. This includes the people who have made it to Rank 10.

Help Topics-
Topics such as "Help me get to rank _" or "How do I get ___?" don't belong here. All such topics are to be posted in the MLN Help Forum or MLN Rank Discussion from now on.

Topics on MLN Glitches or ways to get something on MLN without working for it-
Those are against the rules, people. And they are not safe. Try not to even mention it.

How Many Topics-
Topics about "How many ____ do you have" aren't against the rules, but they aren't very necessary. Such topics are too narrow in subject, and may be unsafe to post in for a certain reason.

Topics about Hackings-
If you or someone you know has been hacked, and you cannot see the appropriate forum for this subject, notify an admin about the hacking via PM.

Suggestions for the forum itself-
Topics that suggest things for MLNO, such as a new host or a new forum, or a new function, don't belong here either. GD is discussion about My Lego Network, not forums. If you want to create such a topic, stick it in the Suggestions Board.

Advertising a shop, other MLN forums, or advertising anything at all-
Try not to. Wink

Dupe Topics-
If a topic of the kind you want to make still exists, and isn't at least a month old, then don't post another topic on the same subject. It's completely pointless. And if a topic of the same subject is over a month old, it's technically dead and you may post a topic of similar subject. The admins, global moderators, or I will archive the old topic.

All topics must abide to MLNO Rules.

Regarding Spamming in GD and the forum overall

*Note that I may or may not use real post examples here, but the poster shall not be mentioned or blamed. You know who you are*

Off-Topic topics/posts-
C'mon, it's in the rules. Don't do it. If it's not MLN, this isn't the right home for it. If you have anything off-topic to say, post in the proper place in the Off-Topic Board.

Pointless Posts-
Pointless posts are off-topic, spammy, and other such. They include, but are not limited to:
Quote
I agree!
Quote
No...
Quote
Shut up!
Quote
LOL
Quote
Smiley

Etc.

These posts don't contribute to the topic. Nobody will really read them, except the moderators to whom that post may have been reported to. If you want to post, make sure you actually contribute to the topic, like why you disagree, or add on to another person's point. Keep it smoothe, people.

Flaming-
Flaming is when you insult someone, or something the person believes in. Or if you label them, such as "nOoB" or "Jock" or whatever labels are out there. Nobody likes it, and if you do, imagine if you were the victim.

If you are a victim of flaming, do not flame back at the person. It just causes more trouble and loss of rep.

Also, do not do try to start an argument, even if you won't participate in it. It's called Trolling. And it's a no-no. We'll know that you did it even if it doesn't seem so obvious.

If you see or are a victim of such incidents, best to report it or notify an admin or moderator.

Gibberish/Leet/Other languages-
Keep it English and grammatically correct and easy to read, everyone. We don't have a translator. Tongue

If English is not your first language, we'll understand your situation. Just at least TRY to make it possible to understand.

Negative comments-
If you disagree with something in the topic, either post it in a friendly manner (explain why you disagree as well), or don't post in there at all. Let out your anger one little breathe at a time.

More information-
See Spam guide topic and Flaming guide topic.

More overall information on this entire post's subject found in the Rules and Forum Help Center.

Any questions about the Rules, this post, or anything you see, post them in Forum Help Center, or PM an admin, global moderator, or me.

For additional reference, the admins are Rahkshi8000, Nwj345, Omega Blademan, and MÆLSTRØM; the Global Moderators are Time's Poster, Dudebot5000, and myself, Destroyer Behemoth. (all as of the last time this post was updated)

If anything needs to be added to here or the Rules, PM an admin or global moderator.
