MTM does know that you CAN change from the Metro UI of W8 to the more traditional windows UI, right (and before somebody says 'it's complicated', are you seriously lazy enough not to go to the control panel?) And that that the Metro UI is because they want to target the tablet market - a growing market, btw
1) no, actually you can't. There's an unconfirmed rumor that in the final release, you'll be able to disable metro, but Microsoft has hinted this won't be true. You CANNOT disable it through the control panel.
2) while windows 8 is geared primarily at touchscreen devices, you cannot deny that the VAST majority of computers do not have touchscreen. People have used windows 8, and they have shown using any other input device other than a touchscreen is clunky and complicated at best. Regardless of what you feel about the metro UI, you cannot deny that it is not designed for anything other than a touchscreen, and won't work well with anything but a touchscreen. Tablets are a growing market, but still a very small one.
3) I Personally think metro is hideous and that it sucks, even on a touchscreen. this is an opinion. facts can be incorrect. opinions cannot "I like cheese more than ketchup" is not a something that can be right or wrong, because it is an opinion. I have not used windows 8 myself. I have used windows phone 7 however, and the entire metro UI is taken form. I do not need to use something to create an opinion on it. Would you like some monkey brain and jello soup? No? well, how would you know if you haven't tried it? You didn't even google it to know if it really even has monkey brains in it. I've done plenty of research on windows 8, because i haven't had the opportunity to use it yet.
He acts way too much like he knows everything about all tech. Stop. being. so. condescending. please.
4) I have not been condescending about tech once. I do not know everything - but i certainly know more than you, judging by your reactions and comments. I have not been condescending about it once.
And he has MISSED OUT THE NUMBER. Far too much. This is COUNT TO A MILLION.
5) here, you are completely correct. this is due to typing on 3.2" not-very-sensitive touch screen. Don't judge until you try it. Isn't that your motto? If i had a better phone it'd stop autosubmitting.
