My dog doesn't know his energy limits and after 3-4 hours of constant tennis ball throwing he was still very energetic. We did this because we wanted him to be more calm when we had family visiting. It did work to a certain extent, but we had to keep him outside because he kept on dropping a very slobbery tennis ball on people's laps. When he went to sleep he slept so soundly he didn't wake up when he needed to go outside, and peed all over my parent's bed. My mother wasn't so happy =P
