Yes, but who really goes out and buys a pro controller? Really the only people who do are people who are really into gaming (I wouldn't go as far as to say hardcore gamers) and really how many of those are left for Nintendo? Not a ton.

Can't really comment on local multi player from experience, but frankly I prefer network gaming. How often do you have a friend over to play videogames? But if you have your friends user accounts hooked up, you can play with then whenever you want, with the added benefit of not having to worry about splitscreen or anything like that.

OK, that's bull and you know it. The wii u has pretty good system specs. It could DEFINETLY pull off streaming video to 4 screens. This is a high end gaming device blade, not your laptop Tongue

No, I don't get why the haters hate the wiiU controller either. First time I saw it I thought "oh, it turns your TV into a DS" which is a good idea, IMHO. However, I don't see the need for the pro controller and the wiiU controller, seeing as they have the exact same button layout .

Nintendo is suffering from what I call TMCS (Too Many Controller Syndrome) they have the wii controller. The wii motionplus controller. The pro controller. The nuchuck. The wiiU controller. WHY.
Now, I don't know how motionplus works with the wiiU, but if I were Nintendo I would not let non-motionplus standard controllers work with the wiiu. I also fail to comprehend why the nuchuck has to be tethered. It is its own controller, why does it need a cord and dependency on the main controller? I've already stated my feelings on the pro controller. And then you have the wiiU controller. I get it, I really do. But don't you think 3 controllers is enough? Jeez.

I do not think its a bad idea to continue to use the motion controllers, seeing as the wii brand was built on motion control. However, as I stated above, please Nintendo, cut out the 1.0 controllers. The motion plus? Yes, keep em. But the 1.0 compatibility just drags down the user experience.

I also fail to see the "fun" aspect of one person, due to having a completely different setup, not really take part in the game at all. Since I have arguably better equipment I have to curl up on the couch and play a slightly different game that doesn't fully interact with my friends, while said friends are standing over in the center of the room waving their arms around having a great ol' time? What's with that?

The only place I've seen a setup where one wiiu controller and 3 wii controllers worked well together is here (linked instead of imbedded for language)

I've got no place to go, I've got nowhere to run.
They love to watch me fall, they think they know it all.
I'm a nightmare, a disaster, that's what they always said.
I'm a lost cause, not a hero, but I'll make it on my own.
I've gotta prove them wrong - It's me against the world.

It is, in the end, whatever the **** I want it to be.
And when I'm through with it, it's gonna blow a hole this wide
straight through the worlds own idea of itself.
...
Come on, lets go break their arms.
