Ever heard of
L-Theanine?It's an amino acid that's basically a miracle.
According to the Wikipedia page, it's a mood enhancer, naturally found in tea (though in smaller amounts than in supplements), it helps ADHD and Schizophrenia, it actually improves intelligence (or rather, "Cognitive Performance") when used in combination with caffeine, it has no side effects whatsoever, and it's an over-the-counter supplement.
(I personally can attest to several of those claims...My doctor told me about it during a school physical, I've been on it for three weeks so far and have been in a really good mood the whole time, it's harder to stress me out, and I've been better at solving puzzles, and my math scores even improved a bit)
Some quotes from the Wikipedia page:
The combination of L-theanine and caffeine has been shown to promote faster simple reaction time, faster numeric working memory reaction time and improved sentence verification accuracy.
L-Theanine may help the body's immune response to infection by boosting the disease-fighting capacity of gamma delta T cells.
Studies on test rats have shown even repeated, extremely high doses of theanine cause little to no harmful psychological or physical effects. Theanine showed neuroprotective effects in one rat study.
Why did it take 18 years for someone to tell me about this?
