So the lights went out in my room. As it turns out, changing the lights without any light is somewhat difficult sweatdrop

Ouch, that doesn't sound fun, about the controller... DX
What parts of the controller did you modify? I replaced my GC analog stick with a Wii Nunchuck analog stick months a go and it's never done anything strange on me.

I've replaced the joystick with nunchuck sticks a while back, messed with the Z button a bit to make it more "clicky."

ATM I'm trying to mess with the "default angles" of the control stick by changing the octagonal gate corners or whatever you want to call the octagon that the stick hits when you go to the extremes of the control stick range. It's basically me looking at the X/Y coordinate values on my computer while at a corner, sanding the gate a little bit, looking at the shifted X/Y coordinate and so on =S
