anyone who uses a CFL is stupid. LEDs or bust.

As clarification, I've always disapproved of CFLs. They take so many toxic materials to create, and the runoff their creation creates is so deadly, there had to be special laws made to mandate their "proper" disposal.
If a CFL breaks, there are emergency procedures mandated to be carried out, which include clearing out the room for 10+ minutes, at least 3 doors/windows open, and your air conditioner/heater/ect shut off for several hours, no vaccuming the area for at least a week, and all broken materials being placed in a glass jar with a metal lid, then the jar being dropped off at a hazardous materials disposal center. Also know, that mexico, china, and other Asian manufacturers do not have these safety requirements, and in fact the toxic runoff and waste materials from the creation of the CFLs is simply dumped in fields or rivers. Most cFls are made in Mexico, china, or other Asian countries.

And all I have to say is, photovoltaic solar panels are worse, in every way except they're not as bad when they're broken. They also have such a short effective lifespan that you will not get any return on investment.

You know what taking an ethics class has taught me?  That I don't give a [insert obscene phrase of choice here] about ethics.  A course that's supposed to make the students into better people who are more concerned with morality and codes of right and wrong have done the exact opposite, made me completely apathetic to all of it.
