I still type by "pecking", but I normally do it quickly and flawlessly!  I don't see why I have to do it without looking at the keyboard.

Do you know how many words you can type per minute?

Around 40, but maybe more because 40 is the limit on my school's dumb computers.

Proper way? There is no proper way, just the different styles everyone uses. People can type the way they want,  not be forced to do a specific style of typing.
