There is nothing special about it because stuff is already in 3D. No need for special 3D glasses or anything.

Skrief: yeah; we see 3D. In person. However; screens don't actively allow the true effect, since they don't allow depth perception to be fully utilized. 3D allows you to see the depth perception, by more or less mirroring how we see real life, except on a virtual screen.

Next you'll say that holodecks are a gimmick, because we could simply act out things in real life.

*Sighs* On some forums, this would be considered trolling, just to say.

Yes, there are things that are '3D'. However; it's got flaws. Even with that type of 3D, there are problems, like not always being able to judge distance. However, the 3D you are so keen to dismiss, is not like that. By displaying two different images simultaneously to each eye, it achieves true depth.

What you're trying to say, is that it doesn't work for some people, and therefore, doesn't work at all.

However, when you can turn 3D on and off, on a game system, and notice a drastic difference between '3D' and '2D'(Even in a 3D model game); then don't you think that it's not a 'scam'?

Think carefully, because I have the 3DS, and have used the 3D mode a least once per session. How do I know you've even seen a 3D movie?

Holodecks are just a marketing gimmick!  That's what we have live theatre for!  It's just an excuse to takae away real peoples' jobs and give them to a machine!  [insert "machines take over the world" movie reference here.]
