So you're going off the opinion of someone else... For your opinion.

I'll say this once... Read the books! Then form your opinion. Don't just go off one person's opinion, no mater whether they're an English teacher or not. I'll admit there are some things that aren't typical of books, and there are stuff that is likely from other things... But in this day and age; do you expect every single book to be copy and pasted in terms of writing style; just with a different storyline or theme to the story?

MTM: Deaf fangirls? Tone deaf? =P But yeah, however, that is an opinion, no matter how widespread it is. =P I agree with that opinion and wonder how he's so popular as well; however, in the end, it's my opinion. I've heard his songs; and that's how I've formed that opinion.

If you haven't listened, read, or watched something, however, you can't just go 'oh it's fail', otherwise it's a biased opinion. Especially when it's something you need to actually experience yourself to form a proper opinion on.

A few weeks ago my mum asked me if I wanted to go to see Rise of the Planet of the Apes. I said no after realising it was a prequel/remake. Star Wars has taught us that prequels are never good, and various other movies have taught us that remakes are 99.99% of the time terrible. And with a name as uncreative as that... you can tell it's terrible. Glad I didn't go along with her. She also has a tendency to like bad films.

Think you forgot the </opinion> tag there, KZ. I personally liked the parts of the Star Wars prequels that didn't have Jar Jar, and even those were bearable.

However, I don't see why that movie was released, to be honest. And how does it being a prequel even work? I'm not saying it's bad; I just finished saying not to make opinions based off what you haven't experienced... But I just don't get the premise behind it. I mean, the original's what, 30 years old, 25 at the least? And it's been sequeled and remade how many times? If there's been no prequels before, that part makes sense, but that leads back to how does it being a prequel work?

I will admit; I haven't seen Planet of the Apes before, and I'm probably the only one who hasn't between the original and however many remakes have been made. So I don't know that much about it. But my point stands.
