Note that I'm talking about Occupy Wall street, not Occuoy The McDonald's Down The Road or any other pointless copycat. The big one, the main one, that's showed more citizens government corruotion, police brutality, and the anti-citizen country that we truly live in than anything else I can think of.

MTM.. OP was the second largest in the nation, and   BTW all the occupy  demonstrations were very poorly run.  You wanna see a demonstration... go back to 1970 or so....
without cellphones, without the internet, without any mass communications.
The march on Washington to end the Vietnam war was HUGE, well organized, had virtually no one there that didn't share the message, crowd behavior was pretty well self monitored as to not ruin the message.
Occupy wall street and all its extensions were a free for all that ended up with many people being against that would have supported.

I agree with mtm that the OWS movement is a good thing. The rich have experienced a greater increase in income over the past couple decades than the middle or lower classes, and even though our political system allegedly treats everyone the same way, in practice it's the rich - the ones that can afford things like lobbyists or bribes campaign donations that really have power.

While OWS could be better organized, the idea that it's "just a bunch of jealous hippies that need jobs" is absurd. This is a serious issue. It's time for some social change.

And yes, it is time for some social change. Eliminate all welfare and give away programs and put THAT money into making jobs for those who want to work, and tax everyone with a flat tax with NO loopholes.
