Well, for all purposes, Knoppix is great in that respect; if only because it was designed to not require any work. The DVD version(And most complete variant), though, takes up a full DVD, so you'd need about 8 or so gigabytes of space. Not the biggest problem, but...

The main problem about the MP3 and such support, is because there hasn't yet been an open source solution, partly because it's likely not a free format. Regardless of it's popularity. =P Microsoft and Apple only gets it because you have to pay for it, allowing them to license it. Otherwise, you'd have to install it yourself even there. Google's the only potential exception, and I'm still not certain what their game is there, aside from getting more advertising potential.

Is the "most complete version" only available via DVD or can I download it?

Of course you can download it; the only reason it's called the 'DVD version', is because it's originally designed to load off a DVD(It's a Live CD-based distro, though if things go right, it can work on anything).

The only issue I've currently found with the latest version in my VM, is that I can't seem to get it to install correctly, so try to install it first. There's nothing worse than getting everything set up, trying to install it, and have it segfault for some stupid reason. I'm still scratching my head over that. xD

Alright, I'd wait then; and save it for after then, or just run the 'live CD' way, if you can burn DVDs. If not, just try the CD variant for a little while, but it'll obviously have MUCH less content.

OK, question for you mister Linux knowhow. Every other time I run my Linux dual boot I have to run startup repair to get my windows to boot. Do you know why, or a way I could stop this from happening?

That's an odd issue, but not one I've ever encountered. I haven't had a chance to dual boot yet, as I mostly run with either Live CDs, or VMs. What way are you dual booting into it?
