factoring this into my new laptop wishlist...

would you be able to play that on the (surprisingly powerful) ivy bridge integrated graphics?

base specs i'm looking at for a new laptop are
-13-15" 900p screen
-Ivy bridge i5 (possibly ivy bridge i7)
-4 Gb of RAM (possibly 6 GB, i really want 8 GB)
-256 GB SSD

new Minecraft snapshot is a good one

I made it so that one of my worlds constantly alternates between Day and Night every two or three seconds. A very interesting experience, indeed. The Command Block... I love it already.

Drove up Rt. 395 to get to Idaho.  My GOD, Red, your state is gorgeous!  Didn't see much of Washington, I was pretty trashed from all the traveling so I ended up sleeping a lot.  Idaho is quiet, really nice.

Still in Idaho, BTW, Internet will still be quite spotty for a while. Wink

Have you downloaded Portal on that yet? Because unless it had pre-downloaded Portal for me, Downloading TF2 first sped the download up.

I downloaded Portal 1 when it came out for free eons ago Tongue Portal 2 I have on xBox...

But it wasn't getting above 500kbps, mostly hanging around 10-20kbps. =/ And I had no idea why, other than time warner SUCKS... but we are supposed to be getting up to 100mbps!!

MY new Sony 32G Tablet S cannot maintain a wifi signal!!  I pull up a page, go to reply, and ... no signal. This is maybe 3 feet from the router... and the laptop is doing just fine  GRRRRRR

What I meant more was is it on the hard drive, since it might have a reverse effect in speeding TF2's download. =P Given that they both use the Source engine. Maybe not, though, thanks to hats. =P

Hmm... What internet connection settings do you have set? It might need to be higher.
