MsRR: had a sterno (something we light to keep food hot) fall on my arm, which caught it on fire.... Not something I EVER want to experience again. They gave me 3 types of pain medicine, but I'm trying to stay off them because of how I react with them...

Not taking your pain medicine is not a smart thing to do either.
67883 ...unless you know the pain medication can kill you. (I don't know the specifics, but I seem to recall Jade mentioning another time that she had a really, REALLY bad reaction to certain pain meds.) I'd advise you to go back to the doctor and explain the reaction with the pain meds, see what they can do about it. |

I almost never take a full does of pain meds, usually 1/3 or sometimes 1/2.
Did you get a tetanus shot??
Burns are susceptible to tetanus. Doctors recommend you get a tetanus shot every 10 years. If your last shot was more than five years ago, they recommend a tetanus shot booster.
