Also, just finished a marathon re-watch of Doctor Who series 5 today. =D Still my current favourite. ^_^ So much awesome stuff with the Doctor. Like the Stonehenge speech.

Sometimes I hate being the smart one in the group.  You know, the one who actually CARES about my grades because I know they'll affect my future.  I end up a mangled, melodramatic mess by the end of term, for a nebulous benefeit that may or may not actually help me at all, while the "slackers" go off and enjoy their lives and have friends and normal, adult jobs and relationships.  Yeah, that doesn't sound messed-up at all.[/sarcasm]

No, they'll get jobs. Everyone in the modern world gets whatever they want handed to them on a silver platter these days, bad grades are blamed on teachers, not the students due to idiotic parents, the intelligence of politicians halves each year, humans are taking away natural resources, humans are undeserving slobs.

Society's much more forgiving than it was in the 60s. Have any of you group-complainers thought about complaining about it to whoever put you in that group? Or do you expect your group to randomly function without a leader to keep things in check? You can't expect people to do things without demand. (that's why I think a benevolent dictatorship is theoretically better than a democracy)

Also, whether grades affect your future or not can be debated.

You know what? Humans should go extinct. Our existence negatively affects this planet which could have so much more potential, and if we ever met aliens, I find it likely we'll attack first. Go extinct, humans, and NEVER come back. We don't deserve the Earth.

I am so so sorry. I have had several friends have varying types of breast cancer including my BFF and my sister in Law. All are fine but one, and that one was 83 when she got diagnosed.
I will keep you and your mom in my prayers.
