But if you have no memory of previous persons, then "more successful" is irrelevant. Also, even if our tangible life is a game, you still have a "real" consciousness controlling you, which means that this is the real you.

Its official, my mother is one of the worst people EVER TO LIVE.

I have two sisters. 9yo and 13½yo. Because we're homeschooled they have no friends, no social life to speak of. All they really have are their laptops. And they love minecraft. Mom hates minecraft, hell, she hates the fact that they have computers at all. So after my 13yo sister did like 8 chapters of her american history book (which is religious lies, not actual history - she hates it), she decides to take a short break.

I'm in the bathroom, I don't know any of this. I hear what sounds like clapping. I ignore it.

Mom was folding laundry at the time. She sees marissa open minecraft. So she goes over and starts hitting her in the face with the pair of jeans she's folding, screaming at her how she's ruining her own life and how dare she play a game on her computer. She then somehow gets the idea to blame it on dad, so she goes to his room and starts screaming at him.

This I hear. I hurry upstairs and find marissa huddled over the toilet, crying hysterically and with her nose bleeding profusely. I freak out, she blubbers to me through tears what happened. I help her with her bloody nose and console her.

Now I must put in here some details. You guys know me. I've been... hardened. I don't feel anything but negativity anymore. I've been a cynical ******** IRL for a long time, and you're starting to see it bleed into my online persona. Marissa is just like that, just like me, except she still can see some joy in the world. But she's tough. I can count on one hand the amount of times I've seen her cry in the past few years. So her crying like this is a huge deal. (My 8yo sister, for the record, is a little clone of mom - a lost cause) So needless to say, I'm very protective of marissa.

So I go downstairs to confront mom. She's still screaming at dad. I tell her flat out what she did to marissa and what I think of it. She starts going off about how this is none of my business and she did no such thing, starts ripping me apart. Dad grabs the back of my shirt to tell me to calm down, so I turn around and walk out. I go upstairs to check on marissa and a few minutes later mom comes up, grabs her, and drags marissa into her room, locking the door. She's ripping the poor girl to shreds saying how dare she lie like that, awful things like that are unacceptable, what's wrong with her to make up such terrible things, only the worst people in the world lie like that, going on and on. Marissa's started crying again. I've locked myself in my room to write this. I don't know what to do, what to say. I hate my mother. I know what she did, I know what I saw. This is not new behavior for mom, but this is the farthest she's ever taken it. I don't know what to do, but I haven't felt rage like this since...... well, laura knows the last time that happened. I don't know what's gonna happen here over the next couple days. But I figured someone should know.
