It's considered one of the best RPGs of all time, though I find the sequel, Mother 3, to be even better. (It's certainly one of the only games to get me emotionally involved)

It's not out for Wii U yet, but the emulators are available and work very well. (In fact, the person responsible for translating the Mother 3 ROM is offering the full translation to Nintendo for free!)
