Norton got a bad rap the year it slowed stuff down. I got a full refund and got to keep the program, plus it was fixed by mid year.. and the speed didn't make much difference since I had a very fast comp.

I can totally understand that; Dell hasn't personally let me down yet, aside from their older laptops having their graphics cards permanently in there, and some motherboard issues that isn't any real fault of Dell's. =P As for HP, the only thing I can really talk about is Compaq; but that was an older model... Seems most of the newer stuff comes with tons of silly pre-added stuff I don't care for. =/
