Reading the Fatal Frame novel. Recognize two of the names. Realize the author just did a crossover with the Kurosagi Corpse Delivery Service.
I'm happy now.

I've been interested for quite a while, at least since I was about 12. I also enjoy agronomy and things like that. How are you doing? Long time no post...! For me that is, anyways. You seem familiar, but are  you from the LMB?

That's awesome man, great to see someone pursue a long-time interest! It seems like tons of people don't really know what they want to study until right before college now-a-days =/
I'm from the LMBs, MLNT, MLNO, MLNHQ, etc. I was everywhere for a couple years xD but I think we barely overlapped.

I don't have a Prius and am feeling out of the loop sweatdrop

73241
I always have to write that number down, or I forget real quick. Δις oops...
I knew you were very familiar, I'm sure we've spoken before. Written... Lol!
The Prius is very fun to drive, and it also annoys my friends, because they're not really Eco freaks like me. Smiley that and I love literally 25 miles from everywhere, so it was actually very practical. 0_O
Enough about me. How are you? And you MsRR, how are you? And where is Rahkshi?

Hello.

Hello all. Long time no see. Like totally, long time. Is there still a need for that anonymity thing now? Whatever. I assume we're all adults now?
I'm a college junior getting my degree in biology, I run my own shed making company (don't worry, I lose most of my money currently) and I drive a Prius and am remodeling an entire house, mostly by myself with my mom as the brains and planner. Sorry if that sounds like bragging, so take comfort in knowing I am flat broke and in debt currently by about 36k. Smiley

Yeah ok so I read the wrong number. Apparently I was like many many pages back. Also, I can't believe that's still my signature. I made that thing literally years ago, probably 3-5.
Eta: and the fact that I just gotta third, fourth, and fifth year award all in one day speaks volumes. 0_0

HEY  Cheesy! Long time no see Smiley. Glad to hear you're still alive and well in college.

I also drive a Prius :derp:.

Yes long time time no see! How you are doing as well!? That's sweet you have one too. Awesome right??

IIRC, there was a game-breaking bug with one of the comm towers that barred people from being able to progress with the story of the game.

I heard it just made it impossible to unlock a Batwing point. Either way, it got patched, so I don't think it should still be held against the game.

Haha, I'm doing well. Studying Electrical Engineering and playing games, so it's all good times xD
I haven't seen Rahkshi around in quite a while, and IDK if he's active on any other forums currently.

That should actually be 73248, because if you look at the beginning of this thread, the second reply start at 1. Not that it matters, because it current rates we should reach 1m by, oh, 2100.
I agree Micah! I have a friend who wants to do a degree in Electrical Engineering after his mission. (All my friends Are Mormons.) (I am not serving a mission.) I told him retrofitting an electric car would be a good project. What better than to figure out all that stuff with a whole car, right? Smiley

I think you can just > (Page Number) * 20.

Anyhow, retrofitting a car would be super fun Cheesy Any soldering and circuitry experience is pretty useful early on. There's quite a bit of programming/coding if you go into that side and also just heavy computer usage/simulation regardless. Lots of math though, which is enjoyable Smiley

I went into college with the mindset of a Civil engineer (balancing bridges is boring), switched to mechanical in about a week (heavy machines are scary), and switched to electrical about a month after that. I really like this field though so I can't see myself leaving it Cheesy

My main grief in engineering is that I don't really know what I'll do with the degree. I would like to work in the power industry, but I could do anything from microchip optimization to fibre network connections, so it's not very clear. With an English Degree, however, you have very few options with the degree. I somewhat envy this as those major seem to have a better grasp on what they'll be doing in the future =l
IDK how clear-cut it is with a Biology degree (I'm imagining you're in about the same boat though); do you know what you'd like to focus on with it? =o

Sounds fascinating! Unlike many people, I've never actually changed my major since I entered college. This is not descriptive of my personality, though, because typically I start things and change my mind frequently throughout the project. I'm glad you enjoy math, because I do not. Fortunately, biology doesn't require too much math, although it some areas it does. It just depends on the field, I suppose.
I would say biology is very multi-purpose, perhaps even more than engineering, but I don't know. I could go a lot of different directions with it, and like you, this has me a bit worried! Smiley
Another thing is that my main college only offered "gen biology", which is kinda lame, but it's a really small university. However, I don't think I would have changed anyways, or if I did I would have gone "bio Chem" or "molecular biology" or some such.
My dream job is one that allows me to help keep the environment clean.
What about you?

Does anyone have ideas for what to talk about during intermissions. I'll be commentating a card game and recently realized I don't have a plan for what to talk about in between rounds.

Happy St Paddy's Day!!  Slainte!

Hope you had a good one Cheesy

I don't have time to change my mind about projects since the due dates always sneak up on me =P Except for coding projects. There's wayyyy too many options with coding. But sometimes professors give us very few guidelines in order to allow creativity, such as our old wobbler air engine project.
The Worry is real, but at least it's not lonesome, haha!
Ideally I would like to do research in the application of magnetism/electromagnetism. This will likely result in me going into the power industry, which is not a very narrow field on its own. I could be working on automobiles, minimizing electricity waste, transportation of energy, power plant design etc.

I just don't want to get stuck with microchips or coding fields, but even my professors have said they didn't really know what field they would end up in at the time XD

I wish I could draw my characters as well as they do. Tongue
(Also, I didn't realize how much Rovakil looks like a Bionicle character...)

@micah

Yeah those deadlines have a way of sneaking up on you. I just finished midterms; feels like I just started. I've got 2 universities that I keep swapping. I left the one because the financial aid department harassed me, so I left for a semester and when I came back, they harnessed me agai. Even more. So now I hate my first university's guts.
I had an idea for using electro magnetism for buffering the area of air around a vehicle and making it ionized to repel the air around the car. You'd have zero wind resistance if you managed to reduce the actual air around a vehicle in the first place, but I e never figured out how you'd do something like that. Good food for thought, perhaps.
