Unfortunately, it's not what you think. We found a bunch of ET and Alien DVDs on on Europa, Jupiter's mooon. It is currently unclear how they got there.

Lel, I need a telescope, but then I'll need money for other things eventually. I could probably see Jupiter, Venus, and Mars much better with one. And airplanes...

If there is life on Europa, they'd really have to scrub the space probe ultra-clean, or we'll be plaguing the natives to extinction.

What's the farthest celestial object you can see with it? Or what have you seen with it?

I'd even use it to watch cruising airplanes if I had one.

Obviously you couldn't see Pluto with it; even our best telescopes couldn't get a good image of Pluto. It wasn't until the New Horizons space probe finally passed by the dwarf planet that we finally got a glimpse of that it's like.

Finding old PC parts is hard... LGA 1156 mobos for some reason are going into the $100 area when as far as I know they should be cheaper than a modern board that's the same price as it...

Actually found some... but they're on aliexpress, dhgate, dealextreme so I'm not sure if they're trust worthy. Heck, I'm even tempted to get this off Yahoo Auctions Japan. I'll probably buy the cheap Biostar board since it's for a friend running a 8800 GTS OC and a i7 870 2.93 GHz and the most demanding game he plays is probably S.T.A.L.K.E.R so I think it should be fine.

Or if anyone knows how to connect a Hewlett Packard 304Ah mobo to a regular power supply (the power cable splits off and goes all over the mobo, so I think I'd need individual cables to break out from the end or something.... I have no idea what that process is called so help would be great).

In the mean time I'll check out thrift stores.
