That's 2/2 solved by me.

When I make SM videos, I blu-tack my camera to the 'set'. That way, it has minimal shaking.

I haven't made lego videos in a long time, but when I did, I used the LEGO Studios camera and dolly, so I didn't have many problems.

The problem with "Mines of Doom" is that when I was writing it, I visualized the story being photographed with a free-moving camera (i.e. lots of different angles, high, wide shots, etc.), and I also visualized my sets in their LU form; that is, they weren't just artificial sets but the actual environments.  This basically means I created a whole load of problems for myself in writing that forced me to forego the use of a tripod in filming.  (Also, even if I used more traditional camera angles, the tripod would interfere with the blacklight effects, which are already difficult enough as it is.)  In addition, by not thinking realistically about the sets, I (literally) forced myself into a corner with certain shots.  Now that I've got all of the shots for the treasure room set done, though, It'll be a bit easier;  Now I only have to shoot Treecleaver, MSRR, and co.'s mine cart sequence and the outdoor shots near the end for MJ312, Venom, and Match.  And the epilogue, too, but that just needs the outdoor set used by MJ and a cantina I'm planning for one of the Pirates challenges (I already did one for ninjas).

I tried, but it seems to have disappeared from that usage before Google came around.

I learned the meaning of that word from one of the books in "The Cat Who..." series.  It's a really good series.  The main character is a reporter and a bit of a literary genius; so naturally, he uses an extravagant vocabulary.  Even though there are a lot of formal and archaic terms, they are put into context quite clearly, so they don't disrupt the plot; however, it does make one want to read the books with a dictionary nearby, so as to discover the full meaning of these wonderful words.
