(question: why don't people hate me? I intentionally tried to kill the forum four times, once in the staff-box and three in this very topic.)
For the same reason I fought to convince the PCG to forgive a traitor who tried to destroy us: he was a friend, and there's no good reason not to forgive friends. If we didn't forgive our friends for their mistakes, then pretty soon we wouldn't
have any friends. Forgiveness is one of the best ways to keep relationships strong, and it saddens me to think of how few people actually do it.
That said, it's also important that we forgive
ourselves for our mistakes. I don't exactly have a perfect track record with that, either, but I know I can let it go to the point where the memories of my (many...MANY) mistakes don't make me bitter and/or angry anymore. Or, as I like to put it: "you can't love
anyone if you hate yourself." We can't go back into the past and fix our mistakes, so all we can do is learn from them.
CHANGING TOPIC:
I'm feeling down.

...we really need an animated smiley for that...
