2.0 device/cable can go inside 3.0 port, 3.0 device/cable cannot go inside 2.0.

its physically larger. Here's USB-B and Micro USB. The 3.0 version are in blue

as you can see, there's no way to fit a new cable into an old port, because they purposefully made them too big. However, all your existing 2.0 stuff will still be able to plug into your new 3.0 ports. They just won't have 3.0 speeds.

Whenever I download a file, after the download reaches 100% a window pops up that says "Preparing to Copy..."
That window. Stays. Up. FOREVER. And if I try to close it, IE freezes, hangs, and the file isn't on my computer.
I've heard of tons of people having this problem, but no solutions that work for more than a day or two.

Easy - don't use IE
