I've been running Windows 10 since about the first week it launched (also had it in a VM during the beta). Never had any issues with it since it's come out only bugs I've ever got were in the beta builds. Forced updates can be avoided simply by making your connection a "metered" one in the network settings. It will always say "cannot download updates" then unless you tell it to download them. Hardware drivers all worked fine I know some had problems with the Nvidia GeForce drivers but I don't hear of anything happening with them now.
