Okay then.

Today's Pokemon is...

MILOTIC!!!

Type: WATER
Ability: Marvel Scale - When the Pokemon is inflicted with a status condition, its Defense gets raised by a stage.
Stats:

HP         95
Atck       60
Def        79
Sp. Atck 100
Sp. Def   125
Speed    81

Author's Opinion: Sadly, this Pokemon fell in the last generation. Pokemon are hitting harder than ever, and the Pokemon it used to be able to wall now has either gained more powerful moves due to the Physical/Special Split (Dragonite gaining physical Outrage,) or just simply new moves (Tyranitar with Stone Edge). Choice items gave Milotic a lot of pain as well, even with its high Special Defense. However, it is one of my favorite pokemon, so I guess I will point out the good in this thing. What sets it apart from other "Bulky Waters" is Hypnosis as well as Recover. It is now a UU Pokemon, but it still continues to do its job.

Recommended Movesets:
Nature: Bold
Item: Leftovers
EVs: 148 HP/252 Def/108 Sp. Attack *smogon for those EVs which I am too lazy to think up of my own. Thanks. =P
       148 HP/252 Def/76 Sp. Attack/34 Speed (outrun 188 Speed EV Neutral 31 IV Tyranitar)
       148 HP/252 Def/8 Sp. Attack/92 Speed (outrun 248 Speed EV Neutral 31 IV Tyranitar)
~ Surf
~ Ice Beam
~ Hypnosis
~ Recover

The other EV spreads** are assuming that Milotic happens so to have 31 IVs in Speed, which isn't really that common, and besides, Stone Edge from Tyranitar will 2HKO. If a Dragon Dance is up, then there is a chance of OHKO, assuming that Tyranitar has 252 Attack EVs, Positive Nature, holding a Choice Band, and doesn't land a Critical Hit. Hypnosis away until it hits, and Recover off damage. Simple enough. You might not OHKO the Dragons with Ice Beam, since some are packing a Yache Berry with them. Just avoid Taunt and other Sleep inducers that are faster than you.

**The EV Spreads were invented by me, and they aren't great.  Tongue

Nature: Bold
Item: Leftovers
EVs: 252 HP/240 Def/16 Sp. Attack
~ Surf
~ Ice Beam/Toxic
~ Rest
~ Sleep Talk

Now, this is a set he introduced to me. So...
Quote
If you wanted to toy with your opponents, you could just shift things up completely and go with a ReSTalk Milotic.  The Sleep factor would raise its Defense, and it could constantly keep its HP up. ReSTalk Milotic is, in my opinion, the best method for a Tank.
Marvel Scale really benefits Rest, since the Sleep Status activates the ability. Bold is preferred, but if using Toxic, you can switch to Modest if you wanted to. *Smogon. Again.

Countering Milotic:
Ludicolo as well as any other Bulky Water can basically Wall it. Grass Knot is especially going to hurt it, with 100 Base Power.

Electric Sleep Talkers can absorb Hypnosis.

Blissey, Cresselia, and basically any other Special Wall that isn't weak to Water or Ice can wall it.

When switching in to Milotic, beware of Hypnosis, as it could potentially ruin your strategy.

@Twilight - Nope, EVs will eventually get into effect as you level up. Also, the higher the level the Pokemon is, the more higher the stat boost is. Even if I EV trained a Skarmory at Level 3, I still will get the same results as if I had raised it from Level 40. So do not worry, since it is normal.  Wink
