...I don't think I have Shed Shell. I guess I might.
Ok, I have a question-does Rapid Spin clear away ALL of the spikes on the field, or only the ones that have been set on me?
And he is right. He's pretty much a suicidal Spiker.
I'm planning to use this team against Palmer for the Silver Print. I set up Toxic Spikes and Stealth Rock-Dragonite loses a chunck of his HP, and that Rhyperior gets poisoned, preferably badly. Scizor will Swords Dance-Bullet Punch to take care of Rhyperior, matching Rhyperior's high Defense with his MONSTER attack stat. And finally, Scizor will slow down Dragonite a little bit (too bad Dragonite's immune to Toxic Spikes =/
) and Swampert can handle the rest with Ice Beam/Punch (depending on which is available).
How does my strategy look? I think I'll keep Swampert's setup secret, just in case I use him competitively later.
If it were to be a Suicidal Spiker, then I'd probably replace Stealth Rock with Spikes, since there are rarely any good Spikers. Stealth Rock can go into another area.
Swampert should have Ice Beam for Rhyperior, since Rhyperior's Solid Rock ability cuts Super Effective Attacks by 1/3 or 1/4. You can use Surf or Hydro Pump to Take it down though, since its Special defense is pitiful.
And Shed Shell is help by wild Venomoth in Route 229 by Pokeradaring. Use CompoundEyes to help get the item quicker, as well as a Pokemon that knows Frisk (Banette) to ensure that the Venomoth holds the Shed Shell.
