I currently have:2 Gym Badges,leve; 18 Togepi,level 28 Monferno. I just pwned everyone with Monferno until i got the egg.

EDIT-Also,my Togepi has AWFUL Attack and Speed,Speed will be fixed with evolution,but to make it worse,it has Hustle! Other than that,prety good.And as a bailout on the Attack,it has a pretty strong "return" atack.

You and I aren't too far off. I'm currently heading through the Eterna Forest myself. My Starter Trio have evolved once each, and all are near Lv 20. I'v currently also got a Shinx and a Geodude, but I'll figure out that half of the team later.

Team Discussion: I've got... Level 17 Turtwig, Level 10 Ponyta, Level 10 Bidoof, Level 10 Psyduck, Level 11 Shinx, and a Level 11 Starly. Trying to level them evenly, but... =P It's hard to level them up when you use Turtwig a lot =P

Here's what my team looks like-I have been pretty efficient:
Level 32 Monferno
Level 31 Togetic
Level 25 Vaporeon
Level 24 Kirlia

I am using the EXP Share to level up Vaporeon and Kirlia. I am undecided on how to evolve Kirlia-Wait to get Stone and effect comes in later,Level 30 and effect comes in now. I want Gallade,but i will still wait to decide.

@DB:  I wouldn't go with Geodude, personally, but then again, I'm not a huge fan of Rock-type Pokemon, so I can't really fairly say one way or another.   Its stats could just be seen as inferior. 

So you can use it on the one from the Flower Elysium, as well. (sorry, I forget the English name, if it ever changed)

Geodude is a temporary; I have no intentions of keeping him in my party. =P

And the name was "Flower Paradise." I remember this offhand, for some reason. =P

I'm thinking for (eventually) switching my Shinx for either Pikachu or Jolteon. I love Luxray, don't get me wrong, but I feel like changing things up a bit.

Oh, you have good reason.  Luxray isn't that great in the long run compared to other choices.  I would honestly suggest using Electivire, Raichu, or Magnezone as your Electirc-type in the end.

Don't have access to an Electrizizer (sp?), and Empoleon will cover my Steel type. So I'll probably work towards Raichu.

I'm thinking of maybe getting Platinum sooner, and not on my b-day, since I want a guitar amp and things to go along with it... If I get Platinum I'll start with Piplup, cause I felt in Pearl that he's the weakest one, kinda(Torterra and Infernape can easily beat my Empoleon...) I really hope you can get a Larvitar, because Tyranitar is my favourite pkmn.
So far, I only know of a few changes in Platinum, such as the new gym formations, battle frontier, the ending, and the wi-fi stuff, as well as different forms for pkmn... are there any other noticable ones that don't reveal too much plot change?

I have Electivire planned to keep. And if that is what you think of Gallade,i will go with Gardevoir. I was hoping you would advise on that,and you did,and my Kirlia just passed level 30(stopped it from evolving). And i wouldn't be caught DEAD without an Electric type.

@DB:  By all means, Volt Tackle is a great move to have on a Raichu.  Just make sure to keep its HP in check at all times.  Volt Tackle can do a doozy on Raichu, even after just one or two uses.
