This will be a gen 4 game MN >_> They're just going about things differently. If you noticed, there's a pattern for every gen. Every gen is released on a new handheld by Nintendo.

R/G/B/Y: Game Boy(Yellow's the only exception, but it's in a class of it's own anyway >_>)

Ru/Sa/E/Fr/Lg: Game Boy Advance
D/P/Pt/Hg/Ss: Nintendo DS.

This is a Gen 4 game, though I wouldn't doubt maybe hints to new Pokemon in after story stuff possibly... I dunno. And if this is not a remake, there'll be a lot of angry people, so I doubt Nintendo would do that and have them boycott Hg/Ss.

Oh, and some of those people you mentioned don't have Wi-Fi, like RP...

Also, I've been reading the talk pages of the remakes, and one comment jumped out, saying that generations start with a new region... While this is revisiting Johto.

... yeah, I has no wi-fi... but hopefully my parents get a new comp and get wireless internet to use both of them...

and yeah, this is a remake, so I doubt there'll be new pkmn. However, it would be nice. An evolution to heracross is probably never to come, seeing as it's a strong pokemon now, and adding to that would be incredible...

Pokemon kinda made a mistake in releasing Arceus I think. It's the GOD of pokemon-> how much more can you add on to that?

And if I do get wi-fi, I'll have to stop giving team updates. Most of the pkmn I'll use will be common enough, but there may be added twists thrown in... Is the competition gonna be in OU tier(I think that's most likely, since that's what most people are training)?

@Blade: DPP kinda got a wave of great pkmn I think... Yes, pkmn could release another region, but having the GOD of pkmn adds a nice ending to the series(although, like Bionicle, they should keep going as long as they make profits... They could just redo all of the games on newer systems as newer systems come out, or maybe pkmn Ranger or EoT/D will be the next wave of pkmngames...).

@0PC0: cause I've heard they don't work well... and I don't wanna pay for one when my parents are actually discussing getting a new comp. I just don't know when they will, although they say within the year...

But there's been confirmation there is going to be a fifth gen eventually, and there are Pokemon who need evos, like Farfetched... =/

Pkmn who need to be evolved:

Farfetched, Lapras, Pinsir, Shuckle, Skarmory, Heracross, Quilfish, Pachirisu, Spiritomb, Torcoal. Maybe others...

Ditto, Unknown and Smeargle should not evolve... Lapras would be cool to have evolve, but it's pretty strong already, so maybe an egg child(same goes for Heracross and Skarmory).

Spiritomb i doubt as it has no weaknesses,and is already tough to get.

Farfetch'd,Lapras,Pinsir,Heracross,Quilfish,i can see happening.

Pachirisu is too weak. It is more of a contest Pokemon,not a serious contender. They would have to beef it up WAY to much for it to evolve.

Shuckle,i don't think so. Because what difference would there be? It has maxed out Defenses,and literally nothing in all other stats. All they could do is raise the Defense even higher,or do what Power Trick does and make an All-Offensive pokemon. But with no defenses or speed,it would be totally useless.

Skarmory......why? I just don't really think it needs to evolve.

Torkoal....it's up there. It could be a big,high Sp.Attack Pokemon. Although it does have decent stats already.

Also,are we putting level limits on these potenial tournaments? I mean,as RP and i hae much more time,our pokemon  would be in the 80s before you guys even got all eight Badges.

Mata Nui: *Cough* We don't need to when Wi-Fi can auto-bump everyone to Level 50 or 100 Plus, I'm just about nearing Level 80 with a few of my Pokemon, but the main prob is I don't use the E4, since I don't have Pokemon that can utterly crush them yet.(Almost have a level 100 Ditto though =P)

Reason is I'm focusing on my 'Dex right now.

4 of my pkmn are lv 94+... I have a lv 79 Weavile and a lv 79 Empoleon. lv 73 Rapidash and Sharpedo. I'm already way ahead... EXP share does not give EVs right? Plus I have my Pearl which has a few lv 90+ pkmn, and some other high levels..

It does, but you can't get the extra from a power item.

Does each pkmn get the EVs(like, say I'm battling a Shinx, which gives 1 atk EV. one pkmn has EXP share, while the other one is battling.)?

It gives each what they would obtain if they were actually battling, though I don't know if Pokerus is applied.
