...Salamance is amazing, I don't know why he would have said that(unless yours had a bad nature or the wrong moveset or somthing). It's fast, has a powerful base atk, and a strong base spatk. It's 4x weakness to ice is not great, and putting the flying type on it was not nice, IMO, but it deals with it.

Well,lionytai....

On .'s point of the Hitmons,i would say your best bet is Hitmontop. Hitmontop is my personal favorite, plus it makes a good staller.

@ddude:  I don't recall saying that.  Salamence is one of the best in the game.  If you could cite this inference, it would be appreciated.

@ZLS:  I was on the fourth round, right after beating Thorton the first time.  The key, though, is that you trade as often as you possibly can.  Later down the road, this can get you extremely superior Pokemon, like the one I mentioned, and you have a better chance of winning, especially against Thorton.  When I was offered that Milotic, I had traded every time beforehand, except once, and that was a trade right before Thorton.  I didn't want to ruin my setup, so that was an exception.  But you just have to trade as often as possible, otherwise you can't win.
oh. You've been further than me then. I beat Thorton, then lost in the next round on my 2nd or 3rd fight. Trading is good, but sometimes I like to keep certain pokemon, but sometimes I start with awful pokemon(all 6 are bad). I've noticed that Speed can be key in many matches, since a lot of Sweepers are OHKO'd because they attack second and can't set up or do damage.

I think that Battle Factory is actually the hardest of the 5 places because of the unknown things that can happen, as well as the fact that you need to know each pokemon's purpose in order to succeed. In the Battle Arcade you can usually manipulate the game board to be good for your team, and you can only have 3 pokemon, so you don't need to know as much. Battle Tower is the same, but minus the game board. Battle Hall and Castle are unique to themselves, but Castle can be easy once you have enough points racked up. I can usually skip the final battle, making me only need to battle 6 times to win.

I think in the Battle Castle my streak is up to 28 or 35...

You can't trade from GSC to RSE can you?

Yeah, Plat's BF is way easier. I've gotten all five Silver Prints already, whearas is Emerald I only ever got 3: Pyramid, Factory and either Dome or Temple.

Temple basically required you to have 4 attacking moves on the pokemon to ensure damage was given each turn. Pyramid was probably the best one in the Battle Frontier, simply because you encountered wild pokemon and you walked around and couldn't recover every turn. Battle Castle is a spinoff of that one, but in a much easier format. No walking, no wild pokemon, but the ability to customize the battles you do.

And yes, Battle Hall for Silver print is much to easy(unless you encounter an annoying Shuckle lol). I'm not actually sure Magicarp could win a print, but you never know.

And I skip battles to ensure a win... I hate getting to a seventh battle and losing. But yes, it is sometimes a waste of points, but other times I feel that I'm an underdog that isn't gonna easily win, so I skip. With the 6 other battles I usually level up the opponents pokemon, which allows me to get extra points. This works so that I usually start out with 60-70 points, and I usually end up in that range at the end.

And not allowing GSC to transport to RSE was a huge mistake. Celebi was lost, and Ho-oh, Lugia and Mew were made hard to get. FRLG was made only to allow pokemon from before RSE to be caught, but you still needed to go through the game 3 times to get all three dogs.

Just a passing thought, but the odds of remaking FRLG and RSE on DS are fairly low, correct? Since that'd detract from the point of Pal Park even though it'd put every generation on the DS?

Probably not gonna happen. With HGSS its easy to get most pokemon now. Although I'd love to do Emerald over again in DS format. The upgraded graphics would be great, and having the Acro Bike would be cool. RSE also had the cool tower to get Rayquaza, which actually involved some skill in using the Mach Bike, unlike getting to Dia/Pal in Mt Coronet.

On that note, how do you get Giratina in DP. I know he's in Turnback Cave, but how does the advancement through rooms and past towers go(I just go in random doors, but there is an actual method right?).
