I'm not much for contests either, although in Emerald I won Master Rank in all 5 contests and got 5 pics taken.

I forget who I used for the others, but the contest moves changed in DPt, so I can't really give any help, especially without a Pokemon that you'd like to use.

I hate how Pokemon makes pokemon exclusive. Jirachi is one of my fav pokemon, and I can't use it at all in game because I haven't gone to any events or anything.

Lol I have like 5 Jirachi. I got some pre oredered exclusive disk awhile ago when I bought Pokemon Colleseum. I just transferred them to ruby/fire red. I just can't get em on platinum.

Yes, I'm currently going to give a little private training to korchi about Pokemon.  

But ddude, with the pre-order disk in question (in fact, the very disk korchi speaks of is the same one I speak of), you can, in general terms, get an infinite number of Jirachi from it.  There is no limit to how many Jirachis you can transfer from the disk to a Ruby or Sapphire version.  From there, someone can transfer bunchs of them a day (especially if they have both Ruby and Sapphire, or even multiple games of the two versions) to GenIV games, and then spread those out over Wi-Fi.  Yes, if you lack the right connections, it would seem hard to get.  But if you take one glance at SerebiiForums, which I do very regularly, you will soon realize that its status as an event legendary is almost an illusion.  Even in America, Jirachi is nowhere near as elusive as the likes of Deoxys, much less Celebi. 

By the way, Coronis at SerebiiForums (Coronis is practically Joe's best friend/right hand man there) did a lot of in-depth analysis of the coding in the game.  Coronis to Pokemon is kind of like Zonexus to MLN.  Anyway, Coronis has done in-depth looking into the games (part of this in-depth look is what discovered the whole Soul Dew thing, as well as a few rare tidbits), and Coronis has clearly stated that there are no in-game events for Mew, Celebi, or Deoxys, as some have speculated.  Not that the events would really be necessary anyway.  Mew can be gotten off of MPR at anytime, given you have a Wii with Wi-Fi.  Deoxys had his event last year (I always thought the voting for that event back in 2007 was staged, and now I think that even moreso).  Celebi is going to have an upcoming event very soon. 

Hey, guys?  We should start spreading around BT's banner.  Also, could you guys put it in your sigs at MLNTeam?  I think there's an untapped group there that could compete and join us here, and they haven't done so yet.  This might persuade their interest.  It could aid in building up numbers for the tournament.

Yeah Jirachi is kinda like catching a Pidgey to me. All I got to do is hook up my old GameCube and Infinite Jirachis.

It's OU instead of Ubers mainly because of its horendous typing (if I'm correct, Celebi has the worst type combo in the game), as well as lesser stats compared to other Ubers.  OU only means that it's a popular choice.  Celebi isn't overly abusable and powerful as is the likes of those in Ubers.  Rarity has nothing to do with it.

Oh. I thought the tiers were based on usage though...It just seems that if a Pokemon was semi-impossible to get, it couldn't be used enough to be OU.

I'm pretty sure tiers are decided based on usage on Shoddy Battle, though I'm not 100% sure about that.

HGSS make Platinum look like a really bad game, IMO. The entire graphics section looks to be upgraded, and for Pokemon that's very good, seeing as how most pkmn games are 10/10 gameplay but like 4-6/10 graphics...

Wouldn't it be great if they made a Wii game of Pokemon that included the 4 regions(Kanto, Johto, Hoenn and Sinnoh) on one large map, and you could play through 32 gyms and get every pokemon? It could be like a massive remake, and the graphics could be really well done.

Thanx. u no the part where u've passed the town right at the bottom with the slowpoke. Then u go to the slightly dark place infested with paras. then u meet 2 farfechted? wat do u do? and alsohow do u get the cut hm?
P.s. My Copy Of Heartgold Was Mailed through. Me lucky! O and I chose cyndaquil and he is now at lvl 23! LOL

I would like to state to everyone that besides a few added things (such as the kimono sisters and Rocket Executives), most of the basic gameplay is exactly the same as it was in GSC.  Most of the stuff I'm saying is coming from ten-year-old memories (I'm too old for this o__o ) of GSC, so just be aware of that.  

@Skullkeepa14:  Chase the Farfetch'd around Ilex Forest until the Farfetch'd have come back to the left.  Once there, when back to the trainer, you should be awarded the HM01. 

Although I find it odd that you would ask about the Squirtbottle and then HM01, because you go to Azalea Town (and subsequently Ilex Forest) before Goldenrod and the Sudowoodo event.  Why did you ask about the Squirtbottle first?

LOL this was a mistake, You no the sudowoodo blocking the path? I thought u water it to make it irritatated and stop blocking the path. I thought this because in pokemon ranger, u water the bonsly near the start of the game. Any hoo. I've just passed the third gym leader and now i'm on route 35. Yay!!!
