Blade: It searches through potential breeding chains and finds ways to chain-breed the moves onto the desired Pokemon rather than using a TM on it.  So if, for example, you wanted to put Earthquake on a Pokemon, it would try to bring Earthquake through Torterra to some other pokemon in order to get it on the desired Pokemon.  Thus saving TMs.

Again, I can't WAIT until I get to B/W with unlimited TM usage.

Back to Emerald, I'm working on leveling up that Nincada (up to Level 11 now), while at the same time keeping on the lookout for some of those rare 2% chance Polemon (i.e. Plusle for now).  Once I have a Shedinja, I'll go ahead and take on the gym, between Shedinja and Blaziken I should have no problems. :wink:

And so, naturally, the third Pokemon I find in the grass is a female Plusle. ^_^  Woot!  Now to go traipsing around some other routes looking for rare Pokemon.

Yeah, but if you recall from my search for Seedot, I'm kinda obsessive about catching Pokemon as soon as humanly possible.   Besides, I don't think that one's female.

Speaking of which, I'm going to go the city with the gym with Brawly (too lazy to look up the name right now) and go into Granite Cave and Rock Smash stuff until I get a Nosepass, preferably female.

Yeah, but that's like...forever and a half away.  And I barely walked into the Sevii Islands for like two seconds after beating the champion in FireRed before I got tired of the whole thing and just dropped it.  Granted, Emerald is a _LOT_ more fun than FireRed, but I'm not entirely sure how much energy I want to put into the postgame when I'm already dying to jump into HG and later White (White is the version with the White Forest area, right?).

Well, you'll still have the Battle Frontier, but that can be frustrating, since it's the Hax Frontier and all. =P But that's true.

And yes, White is the White Forest area(Since, you know, it says White in the title and all. =P); and both of those are the opposites to my versions. =P

I played Platinum, that was my intro to Pokemon.   I'm waiting on HG because it happens AFTER the Gen III games, and I'm wanting to play this stuff in chronological order.  From what I can tell, FR/LG and R/S/E happen at the same time, then HG/SS and D/P/PT happen at the same time, and then B/W happen and then B2/W2 happen.  Right?

I plan to play White and then White 2.  Yes, there will be a few pokemon I'll miss that way, but most of those I can probably get from Dream World (assuming I can access it. )

Flipz: Ah, I see. *Nods* And that seems to be the case. B/W definitely happen a while after Hoenn and Kanto and Sinnoh, that's for sure, and since the Johto events happen more or less parallel to the Sinnoh events... That means B/W's after everything, and then BW2 is 2 years later. The problem is, the timeline's confused, since they don't actually cite what time these things happen at. =P

Truth: Never delinked it, though it's not an upcoming release calendar, just an event linked to the topic. I should fix that eventually.

You should get Black 2; they flipped the cover legends so that Black Kyurem's in Black 2, and White Kyurem's in White 2. If you get White Two, you'll effectively have double Reshiram across the universe. =P Besides, there's a reasoning for getting Black 2, if you got Black, but I don't want to explain, because it'd spoil things. =/

Flipz 2: Actually, he'll get Reshiram again; they flipped the cover legends in the originals. =P

But yeah, that's a wise idea. Trust me on that, try not to look up spoilers for the story, and try to time the playthrough so you can start White 2 right after you finish White. I can likely help with any Pokemon you'd need to get there. =)

Did you get past the gym, by the way? Or are you going for as best a completion rate as possible, Pokemon wise?

I'm being a completionist.  (That, and I'm still working on getting Shedinja--it's a simple set, Scratch/Leech Life/Fury Swipes/Fury Cutter, but it'll get the job done.)  Once I have that reliable counter to Spinda, I'll take Norman by storm, since Bulk Up + Double-Kick will brutalize everything he has.

No, I'm just deathly afraid of Psychic-type attacks.   Do keep in mind, almost every starter I've owned has been a Grass-type, so...

If you out-speed and out-power it, it doesn't matter what you do; that thing's going down.

In fact, I was honestly more scared of the Slaking. Despite their ability, they still pack a punch.

Besides, it's only 2x effective; what's your Blaziken's level? =p
