I have an odd, special love for double battles.  I suppose part of this comes from the fact that in-game, it makes it VERY easy to spread experience among the party, and can lead to rapid level-ups for Pokemon in training (plus, if I paid attention to EV-training, it's an excellent way to spread EVs around, after all, all party Pokemon that fight a given enemy 'mon get the same EV yield, unless a specific 'Mon holds an item that increases the yield or has Pokerus).

Yeah, no, remember my general-purpose computer access problems earlier?  The ones that, due to parental controls software, kept me from accessing the site for months?    I count myself lucky that that particular issue is gone, I'm not going to press it by asking for DS wi-fi support, especially since the only purpose would be for Pokemon (something my family does not approve of).

Yeah, but don't they get tougher over time?  I need to powerlevel a bit more before I try to take them on.

Also, woot Sceptile!  Now I can use Combusken again, one or two more battles should be enough to level him up to 36 as well.

Did you see the suggestion I made about 30 seconds ago in CtaM?  I think it'd be epic.

Also, I'm inordinately scared of Trainers that look like they might be birdcatchers.  IDK why, Electrike has Thunder Wave and Spark now, so I should be able to deal with them, and yet I'm scared anyway.

Do you know of a good place to train Marshtomp, she's way behind Sceptile and Combusken, I can't really find a place where most of the Pokemon will be weak to Water and Ground moves.

EDIT: Gosh-DANG, Bird Keepers are obnoxious!  I had to waste three Super Potions trying to kill that danged Swellow (though the EXP award was almost worth it).

Hmm, maybe I'm just overleveled all the time, but I never really care. If you have a fighter, then here's a hint; the normal typing of a Normal/Flying typed Pokemon removes the 'not very effective' status, allowing the move to hit at normal power. >=D Doesn't work if the second type's neutral to fighting, though.

A cave. =P Or the sandstorm route.

Actually, you know what, I just hate Route 119 in general.  It reminds me of all the WORST parts of FireRed and the one or two boring and obnoxious Routes in Platinum.

Route 119 is the Mt. Coronet of Emerald.  An utterly useless, annoying route that you HAVE to walk through multiple times if you want to get anywhere on the East side of Hoenn.

Though, I won't disagree that the first trip through 119 is annoying, simply due to tons of trainers, no fly, and no healing spots.

Man, May isn't HALF as obnoxious as Gary and Barry were.  I actually enjoy fighting her.

The fact that I have a Marshtomp to pwn her with probably helps somewhat.

EDIT: HAH!  My luck holds!  I saved after I got Castform, not thinking to check its gender before I saved.  It's female.

How high should I level Manectric before trying the Gym?  And is there anything else of importance I need to do in Fortree?

3. If it's around Level 35, level 36, you should be good; but watch out for Altaria. Hopefully you have a counter-dragon move.

Nothing I have comes with Ice-moves, actually.  Anti-Flying moves will have to be enough.

It's okay; I just wanted to check; the natural Ice Types aren't until later, so I didn't figure you had anything. =P It's doable; it'll just take longer, since it'll be neutral damage, instead of Super Effective. =)
