starmie has a more powerful surf, which important in the 7th gym, and more useful later on. It still resists psychic, while being much faster and having better special attack.

I thought hypnosis still worked on a dark type, as long as they don't have vital spirit/insomnia.

Well, I'm not sure. after all, Thunder Wave doesn't work on Ground types... It could be tested easily, of course, but I'm just not sure, especially because Hypnosis changes seemingly between every game. =P

Also, does anyone happen to know what's said after the 50th call in a certain sidequest in Black 2? The thing ends so quickly that I never got a chance to read it. D=

Speaking of which, I'm totally lost in that sidequest, but eh, I'd still say it's the absolute best sidequest in the history of Pokemon games. =)

I completly forgot about the free Zorua that's currently residing in my box (plus iirc it's a hasty nature, could be a nice mixed sweeper). As for Psyduck, I just want a good water pokemon that isn't Starmie (used one in my LG, plus I want to mix things up a bit).

... Well... There's Buizel... Or Frillish... Hmm. Do you have access to Global Link? If so, I'd recommend going through the Sparkling Sea to find a Magikarp, and train that up to a Sheer Force Gyarados. =P

Unfortunatley I don't have access to the DW until I get a DSi (or I could use my brothers 3DS, but he over-reacts when I use it >_>). I'd prefer the water pokemon to be special based so surf will be a viable option, so no Gyrados, Floatzel... Frillish is the pre-evo of Jellicent, right?

Well, I finished the main story. Pokemon league wasn't all that hard. Most annoying thing about victory road is you have to teach one of your pokemon flash

Well, at least it's not an HM anymore. =P

Also, the League was kinda tough, in my opinion; but mostly the new champion. She nearly actually defeated me; which is more than Alder can say. =P
