And a real competitive player doesn't need a guidebook.  I do everything from my head, as all others do.  You just need to memorize a bunch of things that you can actually find in-game.  Guidebooks aren't necessary.  

So you're saying that you factor EVs, IVs, Natures, Base Stats, CHs, factored moves, counter-strategies and reverse tricks, and the overall tier that you're fighting in?  Then I await a battle with you.  I've been needing a good one for quite awhile.  

@herochild:  The point I've been trying to make throughout this topic is the same one that can apply here.  Level doesn't determine how strong a Pokemon is.  Base Stats, Effort Values, Interest Values, Abilities, and Natures determine how strong a Pokemon is.  For example, Giratina's stats are strong enough to put him in the Uber Tier.  On the other hand, Regigigas has much weaker stats, and has a HORRID ability, so he barely even makes Borderline Tier, much less OU or Uber.  Regigigas isn't that great of a Pokemon, in general opinion. 

Of course, the only real way that competitive people battle is in OU.  

I love meh Gallade and Electivire, by the way.  Those two are really good in OU, and I put a fairly good amount of work into factoring out their stats.

I know that, but it still should be obvious that a LV 100 should beat a LV 76.

well, ANYTHING but a tentacool or tentacruel (since splash is a one-hit KO against them) could beat a LV 100 Magicarp. to quote a fisherman in emerald: "humph! Magicarp! whats so magic about them anyway?"

if you have a wii and a copy of pokemon battle revolution, you can send an electivire to dpp without wifi.
to get the electivire enter BA16-X4SH-E2AT in self-introduction.

Wait, is that the same I one I said had impressive IVs?  So how did you train it?  What EVs did you invest into it, and what moves does it have?  I'd be interested in knowing.  

Beating the Tower Tycoon, at least the first time, is easy.  The problem is getting around the haxing that happens at the Battle Tower.  It's so obnoxious how easily the opponent can override everything you do with no chance for you to win. >__<  Although, I've talked with some guys with Platinum on SerebiiForums, and the Battle Frontier looks to have a bit less haxing than the Battle Tower in Diamond and Pearl.

Many trainers in the Battle Tower use Double Team, which is one of the reasons why it is a challenge to achieve the 100-win streak. X.X Once, I versed a Blissey who set up 5 Double Teams. I used my Roserade to poison it badly and eventually won. It had Softboiled too... >.>  Now, my DS is out of Battery  , since my Recharger barely charges anymore.

And yes, it's the same Dragonite with the Awxsome IVs. Its the Phys. Sweeper Spread: 6-HP, 252-Attack, 252-Speed

Twice, I KOed a team using only one Outrage. I wish I could replace Aqua Tail with Earthquake, but I'm saving it for more useful Pokemon, such as Physical Salamence.
