Chapter Three: Edge of the World

The Cendox was going at full speed. With the Last Colony following close behind, Vaho was quite nervous. Their persuers were not slowing down, and he was not sure how long Vastus and Rascks could hold them off for. Then the Kaxium suddenly sped up. Vaho began to drift back from the convoy.

"Hey!" It was Vastus calling. Vaho turned back in time to see the green warrior stop running. Vastus faced the oncoming colony, his poison scythe aimed to kill. "Go on without me! Tell Rascks that I'll never forgt him saving me!" Vaho watched as Vastus was attacked by the colony. Sand flew around as Vastus danced around his enemies, trying to evade attacks. The last things Vaho saw were the cold dark eyes of Perditus, staring at him in the distance.

Three days after Vastus had stopped to fight, Rascks finally decided on a place to stay. A large crater had been dug out 'long before the three agori had come into existance'. Rascks had said he remembered the day of the formation of the crater, but he had never dreamed of seeing it again.

"Don't worry. This place is safe. The Last Colony won't come this far." Said Rascks, when they finally began their way down into the crater. As they did, a slight mist began to form.

"Once we get down I'll have to check the Kaxium. It sped up for no reason back there," said Scodonius. Crotesius remained silent. The last three days were still running through his head.

"You'll have to check the Cendox too-" began Vaho, before Scodonius cut him off.

"I helped make this version of the Kaxium. The Cendox is a complete mystery to me."

Vaho sighed. "I'll look at it!" Said Rascks. I may know what the problem is."

By now, the four Bara Magnans were at the base of the crater. The mist was heavy. The surrounding area was dark. Vision was blurry. "We set up camp here. Drive the Cendox over here," said Rascks. Vaho and the others nodded, although in the mist it was not visible. Vaho parked the Cendox next to the Kaxium, which was overturned and being inspected by Scodonius.

"Oh my gosh!" he exclaimed. "I found the problem!"

"Here. At the Edge of the World." said Crotesius, mostly to himself, but loud enough for the others to here.

"What?" asked Scodonius.

"The Edge of the World." Said Vaho. "Where the Elemental Lord of Sand was killed."

And in the end we lie awake and we dream of making our escape
