Question 3: Help with Buildings

I was only 12. The cruel and stupid government forced me to become a builder, and I had no other choice. My parents died in a fire. This time, my friends, uraw911 and m13, had another mission. We had to build a building that is the tallest in MYLEGONETWORKLAND --- a model of the Empire State Building. What we build with, of course, are Lego bricks and paint. Each brick's height represents an inch. Between two stories we need to color some part of the bricks black, but only a width same as a plate. They gave us nothing but bricks and paint-- no information about how tall the Empire State Building, how many stories it has. They told us to make the base a square, so the first layer of bricks is easy to build.
Now the problem is, we need to find out the height and how many stories it had. We couldn't go out in the day time, so we sneaked out at night. We went to the library. It is 1454 feet tall and it had 102 stories in all. 1454 feet meant that there were 17448 inches, which will take a lot of our bricks. We finished building after 3 years, and we were retired because the great work we made.

"Oh, you must be really angry at the government, right, lionytai?" asked legodac curiously.
"Well, we enjoyed it really. We loved building," I replied. "Should we continue on the show?"
"I guess so."
~~~
"Good job lionytai, you've answered two klestions. Here's the third one:
How tall is the Empire Building? Is it:
a. 1234 ft
b. 19485 inches
c. 1454 inches
or
d. 17448 inches
"D, 17448 inches." I replied. "I am sure, and don't ask that question."
"Alright, I'll skip it," said the boss. After a few seconds he started talking again. "Congrats! You just won 3500 clicks!"
