Hi again,
Only time for a quick update, but I wanted to answer some of the questions.
The game is a flash game.
The teams are new (different) and there are ten teams.
You can't drive the cars, it is an animation of the race that you watch. But, there are things you can do during the race to affect the outcome so the "skip race" function is gone.
For the beta test, we will chose some of you from Rank 3 (and above) in My LEGO Network. You'll get a message in your MLN mailbox if you've been chosen.
We are aiming to launch the beta test in the next two weeks.

I think they haven't started the beta testing yet- they said they hope to launch the beta testing within the next two weeks.
