Back to having fun... LEGO has copyright infringement issues... we have far too many of their images up to get past that.
In addition it was posted in the LMB that they discourage TEAMS, and there was a post in the parents section about prohibiting team siggies in posts.

To answer the BZP questions:
BZP is somewhat affilliated with LEGO.
One of the Admins at the site is the webmaster of bionicle.com
Another is a LEGO Ambassador, along with some of the members.
Some of the BBC contests feature INSANELY RARE FOUND-ONLY-IN-THE-LEGO-FACTORY pieces, namely parts colored in different colors than normal.
Greg Farshley, Author of BIONICLE, is a member and answers storyline questions frequently.
Some members get access to exclusive LEGO events, like the one earlier in the year when the summer sets were shown.

Of all of this, the custom URL, will probably make out url easier to remember, shorter to type and easier to put in Sticker Types. This is just based on the assumption that it is a small new url.
