I wasn't sure where to ask this, and you all know I would like to see more lights in Lego, well, I'm almost done with a creation, or should I say modification to Lego's Winter Toy Shop.

This topic will be about how to introduce lights to your Lego model, maybe it belongs in Education, anyways, I would love to here your ideas on the topic title, I need a cool name and there are more learned people here than me, this one's gonna fly..

By The Way Eh, this is also about how you enlightened MLNO, what have you done, blow your own horn eh, do it here, love to here from the mods, they work so hard.

What's with all the reading Brickers, try some posting now, tell us who you are, or what you love in Lego, oh, and tell us your passion.

So you basically need a name for the model...? Or?

And it might help if you just show a pic of the creation you're making Wink

This topic should be in the "LEGO" forum.  Wink

Just ask him or another mod to move it.

I need a name for the subject, not the model,

Good ones, but the topic isn't just going to be about Christmas lights, it will be about wiring all our Lego models, from ships to houses, street lights to boats, if it's made of Lego, we can add lights.
We'll talk about wiring methods, safety, power sources, loading a circuit etc, so now you see why I wasn't sure where to put this, although it is about Lego, it will also be about "How to".
Btw, thanks MsRR, I like the way you moved this.

On Kockice we have a topic about this.
It's called "LED lights in MOCs".
Simple yet effective.

And I'd love your tips about wiring my models. I really want to put some lights into my wall or other stuff I have.

Not a bad title buddy and yes, I'll be doing a lot in this topic a lot of the time, it's more fun then running contests by a long shot

I've already begun construction on my second Winter Toy Shop, The wiring is complete on the just the light standards over the park bench, I'll share some pics soon, I took some during construction and wiring aswell.

BTW, I'm not using LED, but the methods will be identical.

Allright.

Do the lights heat up enough to melt bricks tho? Becuase that would be a disaster for me...

No they don't, rest assured, I don't want melting Lego either, and I do plenty of testing, I'll be detailing what I use very very soon.

I want to insert one of those lights into a few blue round bricks an connect them to the wall so it casts blue light over the bluish grey wall.

Well that got my attention, I'm deleting a word, Thanks MsRR for a 3 quarters of the title to the topic everyone will be glaring at. I think I'll go with "Light My Lego"

Light standards in the winter toy shop were most challenging, but they prooved to be worth the effort, check it out eh...
