How about one of those house sets?
My next lighting job will be on my lime green train shed, there's a lot od detail inside I want to show off

Awesome! Wish I knew how to wire stuff.
You will when I'm thrugh, this topic you may also assume will be "LIGHT UP MY LEGO 101 EH"

Class is in, you're gonna need some special tools, and some special material. Most can be found at your local Hobby or Model train store. You'll need a pin vice for drilling holes in your Lego by hand. You need a good fine ******* file for filing edges, I use a Dremel tool, battery operated, but it's not cheap. You'll need small side cutting pliers, electrical tape, solder, a soldering iron, small guage wire, preferably stranded and course lights, relax, the lights I use will not melt your Lego, it's tough stuff.

You'll also need a transformer, small ones will do for individual displays and aren't expensive, I have a large one to handle all the lights on my train set, will get into electrical calculations later. For those who are serious about this, I'll provide much more detail on what you need and where to get it, just ask here, I'm watching this one closely...

Here's some more pics, I'll post more tonight on construction and the tools I used....Plat well eh...

sorry for the repeats eh

This is a very inspirational topic; I think I'll sticky it  Wink
Is he the best Boss ever or what? Thanks pal for the awesome words, you just got another hour, lol Wink

BTW, you all saw the tree construction right? If you want I'll post the instructions so you can at least build your own tree with your bricks at hand. For a Christmas present to your Mom perhaps, I've done it before, it goes over big, I promise.

Back to class, here's the basic tools I used to install light in my Lego...next I'll show the material layout and detail...

Sorry about that eh, so here are the tools needed to bring light into your Lego, just in time for Christmas, going by my memory, (Ain't what it used to be)
Side cutting pliers
Large pin Vice,
and a small one
good long tweezers (don't cheap out here)
scizzors ( for cutting electrical tape)
round mini file
tiny needle nose pliers (not needed if you know how to use the tweezers)
a good sharp knife for stripping the wire
above we have a cold soldering battery opted iron
and a re charge me Dremel, the best investement in modelling you'll ever make, I get royalties eh
\

Oops, my bad, that's the tree again, hang on for a second (I'm the teacher that everyone in the class giggles at when I shullfle to find my glasses)

Very nice. Keep up the good work? I know you may be a little down now buddy but is that the best you could do, perhaps a "cool" or an "awesome" would fit. I'm just kidding Tim, I'm honoured you "posted" here, thanks Timposter.

You'll allways be a number#1 to me....

so here are some more pics, I had to go back and see what I picked to post, got a little emotional there eh,

so the pics are the winter toy shop before the dark beige 8 by 8 plate goes on before the snow peaked roof,

THERE ARE A CAZILLION WAYS TO HIDE WIRES IN LEGO< SO BE CREATIVE AND DON'T BE AFRAID< ANYONE CAN DO THIS....

The other 2 pics are the Dremel tool, re-charge me style, and it lasts a long time, my advice, spend the money, your modelling will become exponentialy easier. The piece I grinded with the sander attachement secured the wires feeding the shop as they exited it, or entered it, depending on wether or not you believe in the electron theory or the conventional theory of which way electricity moves, clockwise or counter

Or more better put, do the molecules fill the holes, or do the holes surround the molecules?

My Topic eh, we'll learn here...eh...

skillz0rz is like "mad skillz".  But if you have like "mad skillz0rz" that's even more awesome.  Only to be topped by "epic mad skillz0rz". =)

What's a cool nickname for me?

Once again, epic pics.

Awesome, thanks buddy, I think Muddy fits you, if someone offered it to me, I'd take it with pride. Don't you see, you have a very special ability, you're always honest, now matter how dirty the responce may be. I respect you more then anyone I've ever met online, you're a standout, you're a person worth knowing, and you will be a leader again here again some day when we all grow a little more...

Oh yah, dryes another tear, my description...a pic tells a thousand words, the few I add to the past 4 won't enhance things much eh...

Play Well EH!!!!!!!!!!!!  Grin

Does that mean you're gonna change you're username to Muddy, if you don't, I'm stealing it, I think its cool, nothing like a little Mud in your face to make you stand up and take notice eh.

,ok, so I thought a few for fun, a good stock never hurts when you want to "light Up your Lego", it's also good for showing off and talking to cool people..
