 Here are the important (bare) minimums:

-2Ghz processor
-11" screen
-4GB Ram
-400GB Hardrive
-PC w/Windows 7 Home Premium

 That's really what I'm looking for, just something that runs well, able to do decent gaming. As for the graphics card, I'd prefer if it was dedicated, but if it had a decent integrated card, that would work.

 Asus, HP, Sony (VAIO I think?), MSi, and Alienware are all good. No Dell or Samsung or off brands. And NO lenovo. =P

what's your price range?


 I did know about Alienware, I just don't like laptops that say DELL; long story. =P As for Samsung, I uust don't like their stuff. Let's go with under $530.

yeah, the flatter the keyboard is the better I am able to type. Currently, my laptop is really slow (due to being quite old) and so I have to use my families computer if I want to do anything quickly. However, the computer has a bad keyboard. The worst part is that the SHIFT key on one side is really small compared to normal, so I keep missing it and hitting another key by accident...

Also: how noticeable is the difference between 6GB of ram and 8GB of ram? just wondering for future laptop purchases. And what else should I be concerned with when buying one (that will likely be used at school)?
