I wouldn't exactly agree to it being true, as war has also been the cause of substantial advancements in technology. In fact, much of today's technology wouldn't exist without the conflicts during the 20th century. It's one of the ugly truths we have to live with, and hope that humanity has outgrown such matters and now seeks to better itself, rather than destroy itself.

The worst is when they take actual terms (BIOS, TCP/IP, FTP, SQL) and then use them in a gibberish sentence.

(By hacking the BIOS via TCP/IP, I gained control of their FTP in the SQL server!)

^ Actually, most of that could happen. Given that if you block off the file transfer protocol, nothing can be uploaded to the SQL server, meaning that it'd be effectively locked into the same state eternally... Or, at least, until someone resets it locally. =P(And since hacking into a BIOS is technically possible, the only thing that's off is TCP/IP. =P

That is rather humourous to me; simply because it's so wrong. =P

As for the achievements, a good many of them are indeed possible still; the only ones that are iffy are the holiday ones. =P And even then, there may be some things. But, really, it's just like Pokemon, with things like the Liberty Ticket or Oak's Letter. =P
