eh, i just toggled into creative once i respawned and gave myself everything i could remember back. sine 1.3 TMI has seemed not worth the effort, especially if you're trying to keep up with the snapshots.

That's why I love the Technic pack; after some backbreaking work to set up my Energy Collectors and Energy Relays, I had enough resources to create a Volcanite Amulet.  Now, so long as I'm not stupid and forget to put it in my hotbar, I can never die from lava. Cheesy

Honestly, I didn't really enjoy it until I got some mods.

My mod list:

Forge 4.0.0.238
Optifine 1.3.2 B3
Custom NPCs 0.6 (most important mod for me)
REI's minimap
Easy Creepers
TooManyItems (doesn't work all that well with Forge, but it lets you switch between Survival and Creative)
Moar Achievements (Once it's updated)
Secret Rooms Mod (see above)
And some custom skins.


EDIT: 0_o in the time it took me to post this, Secret Rooms Mod was updated. Testing now.

It will. I know that, and I haven't even played Skyrim yet. =P

MTM: I got lava'd the other day, when I had everything I had gotten, more or less, on me at the time, including nearly an entire set(Tools and all) of iron, and about 30 or so blocks worth of iron, between the bars and unsmelted iron. =/ Then later I go to explore that place, and notice it was about two feet away from the entrance to the cavern. -_-;
